Abstract: The article discusses the oil storage tank «O2», located on the territory of the branch № 1 of the state corporation for the development and implementation of modern technologies «DONETSK TECHNOLOGIES». An analysis of the existing structures of the «O2» tank was carried out, and damage received during operation was found. In the design of the shell of the tank «О2» there are areas in which there is a local loss of stability in the form of concavities in the interior of the tank (flappers). The bottom structure has a curvature associated with the uneven draft of the tank. This article presents a test calculation aimed at checking the tank shell for strength and stability. In connection with the damage received during the operation of this structure, recommendations were given for the elimination and minimization of certain defects and damage.
