Influence of Design Features of Power Lines to the Technology of their Construction
Abstract: General information of the extent of backbone and interstate overhead power lines has been given. The classification of pylons has been presented. The advantages and disadvantages of the materials used for the supports have been considered. Most attention is paid to metal power transmission line towers. Main structural elements of power transmission line towers, methods of connecting rods at the nodes have been described. The requirements for the protection of metal elements are power lines from corrosion. Grouping of factors influencing on technological solutions of power lines has been carried out. Considering The factors of influence has been considered under the realization of project decisions; it has been taken into account optimal decisions, which allow to apply the best technological solutions with the least amount of labor and time. The sequence of construction of transmission lines includes a list of processes and a list of interconnections between processes.
