Engineering diagnostics of metal frames of a variable i-shaped cross,section of a sports complex framework

Abstract: The results of the engineering inspection and diagnostics of metallic structures of a newly erected building are presented in the article. The building is a sports complex divided into two joined parts. The first one is a large covered sport hall; the second one is an administrative and consumer service building with a small built in sports hall. The building is of a framework type. Steel frameworks of two kinds for the large sports hall and for an administrative and consumer service building are used as basic bearing elements. The building frameworks are made with the use of metallic frames of a variable stiffness. The frames are assembled of the dispatch brands of complete factory availability with the use of assembling flange knots. There are presented the structures of three knots of a bearing frame, ridge, cornice, intermediate ones. There are given the results of the engineering inspection, diagnostics, and check calculations of the frameworks with the variable stiffness elements and their basic flange knots.
