Abstract: One of the main tasks of construction in modern Russia is to reduce its cost and increase efficiency. New economic conditions predetermine the peculiarities of the approach to the choice of efficient technologies, products and structures. Speaking about the rational use of metal, all production and technical areas can be divided into various types of activities, one of which is the direction of introducing economical and efficient types of compounds, the use of which ensures metal savings. The paper presents a study of bolts of a tubular structure developed in the study of thin-walled rod connections. Also, a comparison of the metal consumption of connections of thin-walled elements using tubular bolts and bolts of strength class 5.6 of accuracy class B, commonly used for connecting steel structures, is given. The relevance of this topic is due to a decrease in metal consumption, an increase in the efficiency of the structure.

Keywords: thin-walled elements, bolts, hardware, tubular bolt, effective compounds, work of bolts on a cut, calculation of connected elements for crushing, shear bolted connections, reduction of metal consumption, efficient connection.
