Annotation: In the article the new technique of definition of residual bearing ability of metal structures by loading to their constant on value and a place of the appendix by safe test loading is offered. Examples on revealing reserves of bearing ability metal designs are resulted, the technique of definition of reliability of metal designs also on the basis of the theory of opportunities for those cases when application of probability methods becomes incorrect is offered.
