Abstract: The article is devoted to the questions of a spatial correlation of climatic loads, including icing combinations with the wind. This analysis allows to estimate random overloads in the data of weather stations under territory zoning and scale of extreme overloads which may lead to failures of overhead of transmission lines. The results of carried out analysis were used for NEC “Ukrenergo” weather-stations arrangement on the Ukrainian territory.

Keywords: icing loads, overhead lines, automated icing monitoring system.
